The Organization of Personal Pronouns in Sentence Structure Construction of Makassarese Language

Makassarese language belongs to the Austronesian family, currently spoken as a mother by group of people in South Sulawesi province, eastern Indonesia. This research focuses on personal pronoun organization sentence construction language. The form, position, and function pronouns sentences are explained. It used ‘simak’ (to-observe) method form conversational involved-observation technique including recording note-taking collecting data. data sources were oral text taken from five informants selected purposively. folklore script written presented descriptively analyzed using distributional method. findings show two forms dominantly constructing sentences: free bound (clitic). Position is front of, middle at end sentence. clitic verb. In addition, there also attached noun that serves possessive. starting with pattern SV (subject-verb) or SVO (subject-verb-object) clitic-attached verb VS (verb-subject) VSO (verb-subject-object). basic structure VSO. derivative other varieties.
